Rabbi Don Cantor has taken the helm as the new leader of RJLE.
Rabbi Cantor was born and raised in Richmond and graduated from the Yeshiva of Virginia. He studied Torah at Yeshivat Har Etzion in Israel, received a BA in philosophy from Virginia Commonwealth University, and semicha from Rav Chaim Ozer Chait. He previously taught gemara at the Yeshiva of Virginia and most recently served as the Director of the Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (JLIC) at Johns Hopkins University.
In addition to his new role with RJLE Rabbi Cantor serves as a senior educator for JLIC’s Yavneh on Campus student leadership program.
Rabbi Cantor and his family are thrilled to be back in their hometown, Richmond!
RJLE is an independent organization, unaffiliated with any institution, offering everything from Basic Judaism to Advanced Talmud – with classes, small-group and one-one-one study. These classes are led by Rabbi Cantor, and are made available to all, regardless of background.
